Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions transitions to direct sales in Canada
Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions, a company specializing in metrology and inspection technologies and software, is transitioning to direct sales in the Canadian market for Zeiss coordinate measuring machines (CMMs); vision measuring machines (VMMs); CT/X-Ray solutions; industrial light microscopes; and surface, form and geometry (SF&G) products, effective Jan. 1, 2025.
The announcement follows the dissolution of its distributor agreement with Elliott Matsuura Canada Inc., which had previously been the supplier of these technologies in Canada.
“Our decision to move to direct sales for these specific technologies allows us to partner more closely with our customers to resolve their toughest challenges and help them reach their goals,” said Diederik Van Tricht, national sales manager for Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions Canada. “To demonstrate our dedication to supporting the Canadian market and our existing customers, we are actively investing in the expansion of Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions Canada.”
Earlier this year, Zeiss established a sales and service company in Canada for its industrial quality solutions portfolio.
According to Zeiss officials, the Canadian market will benefit from direct collaboration with Zeiss sales, support and applications teams. Toronto-based Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions Canada will also provide training, service and maintenance for these products.
Founded in 1846, Zeiss has over 44,000 workers in around 50 countries with more than 60 sales and service locations, 35 research and development facilities, and 35 production facilities worldwide.
