Symmetric Parts and GD&T

In this Question Line video, Jason answers the following question regarding symmetric parts: 

Is the use of symmetry in this example correct?

Because the submitted drawing was proprietary information, Jason created and discusses the simple example shown below that brings forth the features and tolerances in question. 

In this video, Jason explains that symmetry was removed in the 2018 revision of ASME Y14.5 due to common misuse and discusses why the above drawing is incorrect – and what to do to correct it.
